From London-based Nigerian music maker Daniel Oduntan's "experimental productive collective/sound system/art band," Lo-Fi Odysseys, comes Palm Wine Beats, a sonic celebration of Nigeria's 100 years of nationhood. The multi-part mix is refreshingly experimental in that it features a variety of some of the most important sounds to ever come out of  (or be connected with) Nigeria. Not just music, but sounds, ranging from interviews, soundbites from documentaries, comedy skits and viral material. Of course, Fela Kuti features prominently, his voice and story living on side by side with the juju stylings of  Sunny Adé. You'll have to listen to appreciate the incredible eclectic nature of the project.
